Cricket Poland - helping to raise the profile of the game of cricket in Poland.

There are at the present time a total of two active cricket clubs in Poland at this time: probably the most active Polish team, Polonia Cricket Club, and the expat Warsaw Cricket Club. With due to a lack of equipment, suitable outdoor surfaces and facilities the majority of cricket played in Poland being indoor cricket. Usually making use of large indoor sports halls designed for and used primarily for basketball.

We currently have one 'Level 1' and fourteen qualified ICC / ECC 'Introductory' level coaches, and an ICC qualified umpire. Our primary concern is in developing an interest in cricket among the young. Therefore, to this end, we have developed a cricket equipment lending programme where we as a group of cricket enthusiasts lend kwik-cricket equipment to primary schools and youth groups throughout the west of Poland. In this way we hope that the young will go on to play the full version of cricket in later years. Click here for further details of our cricket in schools programme.

If you have a cricket team which might be interested in coming to Poland to play indoor cricket, against a team of real Poles, or help in showing Polish youngsters the game, please get in touch.
